Natural Awakenings magazine – Tallahassee
is now accepting submissions for its
SECOND annual writing contest!

GUIDELINES:

1.  All Articles must fall within the 12 themes used yearly by Natural Awakenings.  They include: a) Health & Wellness, b) Balance, c) Natural Foods, d) Green Homes & Gardens, e) Women’s Wellness, f) Men’s Wellness, g) Living Simply, h) Vibrant Children, i) Local & Personal Economy and j) Uplifting Humanity.

2.  All Articles must be at least 500 words and no more than 650 words. One entry per person.
All Articles that do not fall within that range will not be considered.

3.  Must have a valid email address, as this is how you will be contacted if you win.

4.  Contest runs from February 1, 2012 – March 5, 2012.

5.  Winners will be announced in the April 2012 issue.

6.  All Articles will be judged by an independent panel.

7.  All submissions may be posted on www.NATallahassee.com. or within the pages of our print publication (at the discretion of our editor). Do Not Submit if you require payment for your work.

8.  Writers are encouraged to focus on a style of writing that reflects a magazine format.  They are also asked to consider the particular demographic that reads the magazine and what topics Natural Awakenings readers might enjoy.

9.  Email all submissions to NATallahassee@yahoo.com.  Include which theme the article falls under, and be sure to include that in the Subject line of the e-mail.

11. The Judges decisions are final.

12. All Stories must be original, any plagiarism will result in disqualification of that story and no additional items will be accepted from author.
